Worked on some custom pieces this weekend and made some great headway. I completed a pair of earrings for myself that was just waiting for me to buy some new parts. Then I worked on this pair of earrings as a custom to match this necklace.
Then I worked on a pair of earrings to match a necklace that I had made for my grandmother for Christmas. She told my mom that ‘I can’t find any earrings to match.” So I guess that she just doesn’t wear any.
Then I worked on a custom necklace that sadly I didn’t have to much time to work on, but I think that it came out okay. Let’s just hope that the person that’s getting it as a gift in fact likes it.
Then I worked on another custom piece for my friend Jacie. The first one was made for “scrap beads.” She had bought some natural stone stars some time ago and couldn’t incorporate them into her knitting. Unfortunately, I can’t find the pictures of that one. She absolutely loved it! So easy to please this one. So she bought some pearls and asked be to string them for her mom for mothers day. We ended up having some extra left over. Well, I would more acurately say that these pearls seem never ending. Anyway, this is the first piece that I made out of the extras.
I am working on another piece for Jacie, but it’s not done yet, but needs to be strung. I have anothe rcustom necklace that will be coming soon that I just know Allison will be drooling over, but it’s not for you! Then the bridal party….
I have bought some other beads that will become necklaces soon and when I can steal Jacie away, we’ll get pictures and put them for sale on my etsy site.
In other news, I graduated from residency and recieved the Hartford Hospital Ambulatory Care Award. I have completed residnecy altogether and I am getting ready to leave to go to Phoenix. I just hope that some of my friends will find in their hearts to take care of my crazy cat and rats.
For the spinners and knitters out there, The Painted Sheep dyed yarn this weekend. I would check out her shop in the coming weeks because she should have some new product coming up!
Anyway, gotta go and get my pre-employment physical!
